The Binder protective cap 08 2990 000 000 is designed for M12 connectors in the 715/766, 713/763, 814 and 813/815/825/866/876. It protects unused connectors from dust, moisture and mechanical damage in industrial environments.
The cap is suitable for all M12 connectors with 2 to 12 poles, as well as for versions with a PE contact (2+PE to 4+PE). It fits connectors with an M12 screw-lock mechanism and is therefore suitable for both data transmission and power supply applications.
Typical areas of application include sensor and actuator applications in factory automation, Ethernet-based communication networks (e.g. Profinet, Ethernet/IP) and power supplies in mechanical and plant engineering. The protective cap prevents contact corrosion during storage, transport and periods of inactivity.
