Spacer sleeve

The spacer sleeve, item no. 16 0977 000, is a precision-manufactured mounting component for M12 data connectors from Binder. It is used to ensure the correct mechanical spacing and positioning when installing connectors for industrial data communication. The sleeve is fitted with an M12 screw lock.

The component supports the Binder 713, 715, 763, 766, 813, 814, 815, 825, 866 and 876, which are designed for fieldbus and Ethernet-based systems such as Profibus, Profinet and EtherCAT. The B, D and X coding schemes ensure correct connector assignment and prevent incorrect connections between different protocols. Pin counts ranging from 2 to 5 cover the most common data interfaces.

Spacer sleeves are used when specific distances between connector components are required – for example, when installing in enclosures with different wall thicknesses or in multi-stage connection systems. They ensure mechanical stability and prevent stress that could lead to contact problems.
