The HCA78-50JB coaxial cable matches the HCA78-50J in its electrical properties — 7/8-inch format, 50-ohm impedance, air dielectric, max. 3 GHz — but features a polyment outer jacket with improved fire behaviour.
The flame-retardant polyment sheath makes the cable particularly suitable for use in enclosed buildings, tunnels, underground car parks and other areas where increased fire protection requirements exist.
Typical applications include indoor mobile radio systems (DAS), tunnel radio for public safety and TETRA, as well as LTE/5G in-house installations. The electrical specifications are fully in line with the standard variant HCA78-50J and are compatible with common 7/8-inch connectors.
