The coaxial cable HCA158-50J is a semi-rigid HELIFLEX cable in 1 5/8-inch format with a 50-ohm impedance. The air dielectric ensures minimal dielectric losses and allows for high RF power transmission up to a maximum frequency of 3 GHz.
The corrugated outer conductor in HELIFLEX design combines mechanical flexibility for installation with the stability of a rigid cable. Compared to the 1 1/8-inch type, the 1 5/8-inch format offers further reduced attenuation and higher power handling capacity.
The cable is used in high-performance transmission systems, backbone connections in mobile communication sites (LTE, 5G) as well as in stationary BOS and broadcasting systems, where long feeder routes need to be bridged with minimal losses. It can be combined with common HCA-compatible connectors.
