The coaxial cable HCA118-50J is a semi-rigid HELIFLEX cable, 1 1/8 inch format, with a characteristic impedance of 50 Ohms. Thanks to the air dielectric, very low attenuation values and high power handling are achieved up to a maximum frequency of 3 GHz.
The flexible corrugated tube structure of the outer conductor allows for easy routing, even in confined spaces, while maintaining high mechanical stability. The cable is designed for use in fixed installations with high power levels.
Typical areas of application include lead-ins between transmitters and antennas at mobile radio base stations (LTE, 5G), broadcast transmission systems, and stationary public safety radio systems, where low line losses and high transmission powers are crucial. The cable is supplied in metre lengths and can be combined with standardised HCA-compatible connectors.
