Medical binder connectors with snap-in locking provide a reliable and quick connection solution for stationary medical devices. Their larger design, compared with more compact series, allows for a higher number of pins and robust applications in medical technology.

Technical details

The 720 series is characterised by its Snap-in locking mechanism which allow for tool-free assembly whilst maintaining the protection class IP67 in accordance with IEC 60529. The binder connectors comply with the requirements of the ISO 10993 on biocompatibility and the electrical safety standard IEC 60601 for medical devices. The larger design, compared with the compact series, allows for a higher number of pins and thus more complex signal transmission. All components are designed for long-term use in medical environments and are resistant to common disinfectants.

Applications

The main areas of application are In-patient patient monitoring systems, where several vital signs sensors need to be reliably connected. In the Laboratory automation These connectors link binder analysers, samplers and control units. Imaging techniques such as ultrasound or X-ray equipment utilise this series for external control units and peripheral devices. The snap-in locking mechanism enables quick device changes whilst ensuring a secure connection during operation.
